Since 1994, UNICEF has been involved in Uzbekistan in the following activities:

  • Lowering the level of asiderotic anemia and iodine deficit
  • Improving the quality of nutrition
  • Protecting children against violence and cruelty
  • Raising standards and availability of education, and
  • Combating human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
